Meet Our Team

Sy & Monica Huffer

Sy (Lead Planter) and Monica Huffer (Involvement Minister) have been married since 2010. Together they have two sweet girls, Geri (7) and Chandler (5). The two met as students at Ozark Christian College and have served together in various ministries ever since.

Sy had always felt a call to church plant, but the time never aligned with the Lord’s plans on their life. For the last seven years, Sy has been the lead minister at College Heights Christian Church in Joplin, MO. In that time, the two have deepened their passion for church planting and have helped others see the importance of church plants. Sy has served on multiple church planting management teams over the years.

A year ago Sy and Monica learned about the significant spiritual need of Naples, Florida. After a season of reluctant prayer to move to Florida and plant a church, the Lord made it glaringly obvious they were being called. In continuing to say “Yes” to God, they find themselves here today: excited, eager, and ready to be used by our Lord to reach a city so desperately in need of relationship with their creator.

Cesar & Gisella Salinas

Cesar (Church Plant Resident) and Gisella.

They are experienced international Church Planters. Through extremely deep faith in God, they planted a successful ministry in their home country of Ecuador. With a lot of grit and passion for the Gospel, they have watched that ministry grow from just their own family to over 250 people at this last Christmas Eve Celebration. As Cesar said of their first Sunday, “It doesn’t matter if there are 4 people here or many more, I am to preach the Word of God today!”

Cesar and Gisella built a beautiful ministry in Ecuador and have discipled and raised up other Kingdom Workers to continue the work ahead. They have felt a deep calling to start a church in Miami FL. Cesar had done his Bible Education at Florida Christian College years ago. This past fall they went through assessment and got a Green Light to start with the recommendation of doing a year long residency. Through lots of conversations and prayer it was determined they would be a great fit for our team here in Naples.

Cesar and Gisella will be with our team until the end of 2024 to help our team as we prepare to launch, and for our team to assist them as they learn how Church operations may be different from Ecuador. At the end of their residency, they will move to Miami where a church building has already been provided and will start in partnership with Florida Church Planters a new Christian Church. We are so excited this opportunity that God has opened up for all of us. Please be in prayer for them as they move, fundraise, and prepare to lead a new church in Miami next year!
